Volunteer to be a Palliative Care Team helper

West Middlesex University Hospital is recruiting volunteers to support patients who are nearing the end of their life.

If you are a calm, kind and compassionate person with good listening skills, this role could be your calling.

Volunteers will support the Ward teams and Palliative Care Team to provide companionship to patients in their final weeks, days or hours. By listening, chatting, reading, or simply holding patients' hands, volunteers will offer comfort and support. The role will also assist and advocate for the family or those important to the patients by providing respite and guidance where needed.
