Join Shepherd’s Star for a free six-week programme

Looking to make your summer meaningful? Register now to learn new skills, boost your confidence, improve your wellbeing, and reconnect with the community.

Local charity Shepherd’s Star is hosting a socially engaging personal development programme running one day per week, over six weeks. Offering a supportive, inclusive and low-pressure learning environment, the Explore programme is designed to encourage adults who are unemployed, on a low income, suffering from mental ill health, and/or experiencing social exclusion to try new things!

The free Explore programme will feature complementary meals and a diverse range of workshops and activities, including money management, personal empowerment, health and wellbeing, gardening, cooking, baking, and DIY.

To date, 81% of Explore participants have progressed onto further volunteering, study, apprenticeship, and work opportunities. Explore can help you take the next step.

  • Dates: Tuesdays 11 June to 16 July 2025
  • Time: 10am to 3pm
