Meet your police officers and learn about community safety
Community news on behalf of Richmond Safer Neighbourhood Board | 22 May 2025
On Thursday 3 July, residents are invited to attend Richmond Safer Neighbourhood Board’s quarterly public meeting.
This is your opportunity to hear from the Borough Superintendent and Inspectors and learn how community safety is being shaped across Richmond.
The Richmond Safer Neighbourhood Board (SNB), in collaboration with police liaison groups (PLGs) in every ward, brings together the police and local communities to establish local policing and crime priorities, making sure the public is involved in community safety decisions.
Meeting details:
- Date: Thursday 3 July 2025
- Time: 7pm
- Location: York House, Twickenham
The SNB is the umbrella group for all the PLGs. Each PLG may be represented at SNB meetings by its Chair or a nominated Deputy. Concerns not addressed by the police at a local PLG meeting may be raised for the attention of the senior police officers attending the SNB, and their response will be reported back at the next PLG meeting.
The SNB will monitor police performance, and public trust and confidence, and it fulfils a range of important specific functions. One of the most important functions is to ensure that every ward has a functioning PLG.
