Hop on for free group bike rides to Battersea Park

Community news on behalf of London Cycling Festival | 15 May 2025

On Sunday 25 May, residents are invited to take part in free, family friendly bike rides starting from Ham, Richmond Park, and Wandsworth Park, as part of the London Cycling Festival.

The free event is an exciting opportunity to explore some of southwest London’s most beautiful green spaces and enjoy a relaxed, supported ride with experienced ride leaders guiding the way. It is also a fun way for those new to cycling or less confident on a bike to give it a go alongside others in their community, breaking down the barriers to active travel.

The group ride will begin in Ham, with three pick-up points - Ham, Richmond Park, and Wandsworth Park - allowing riders to join at the location that suits them best. The journey will conclude at Battersea Park.

Organised by the London Cycling Campaign in partnership with Lime, the Zero Emissions Network, and 14 London boroughs, the city-wide celebration will feature bike try-outs and over 30 led rides across the capital.
