Support community-led initiative to revitalise green space on Grosvenor Road

Community news on behalf of Habitats & Heritage | 15 May 2025

Local residents, in partnership with environmental charity Habitats & Heritage, are launching a transformative initiative to revitalise a neglected patch of land on Grosvenor Road, Twickenham, turning it into a vibrant green hub for both people and wildlife.

The Grosvenor Road Green Hub project will create a wildflower meadow with a peaceful walkway, offering a space for the community to walk, pause and enjoy nature. A stag beetle loggery will also be installed to support this protected species, enhancing biodiversity and linking green corridors with nearby parks and the River Crane.

Find out how you can donate to the Grosvenor Road Green Hub.

With support from the Aviva Community Fund, every donation made to the crowdfunder will be doubled, helping to:

  • Sow native wildflowers across a 150m² area
  • Prepare the soil and plant native plug plants
  • Use a no-dig approach to preserve soil health
  • Install a stag beetle loggery
  • Host two community activity days

This community-led initiative will not only improve access to green space but also strengthen local ecological networks and deepen residents’ connection with the natural world. The team believes that small, local actions can make a lasting difference. With public support, Grosvenor Road will soon be home to a thriving pocket of urban biodiversity.
