Community news on behalf of Teddington Hockey Club | 30 March 2026
Teddington Hockey Club's Women's 1s celebrated promotion to the top flight of England's Hockey Leagues on 21 March, and now stand as one of the top 12 teams in the country.
The promotion contributes to a great season for the club, which provides over 2,000 sessions a year for members and non-members, across training, fixtures, camps, masterclasses, 44 teams and through winter and summer.
Included in this is THC's much appreciated outreach program, which provides coaching to over 100 state school children a week in the borough, and its Flyerz disability inclusive hockey programme.
As well as the Women's 1s, a number of other mens and ladies teams have also won promotion, and a number of junior teams remain in the final stages of their competitions, amongst the top 10 teams in their age groups.
