International Women's Day: Meet Stable & Strong Fitness
Community news on behalf of Stable & Strong Fitness | 5 March 2026
This International Women's Day, we're highlighting some of the local women running safe and welcoming sporting spaces, where women and girls can get active and improve their overall wellbeing. This time is Mortlake's Stable & Strong fitness studio!
Stable & Strong is a fitness studio focused on strength, pelvic floor, and community.
The studio is owned by Caragh, Katy and Lizzie who are all fitness and sport enthusiasts. They have seen first hand how life changes from teens through to peri-menopause, and the effect this can have on our bodies and minds. Caragh and Katy are both mums and understand the importance of strength, movement and pelvic health in everyday life.
Stable & Strong want to create a space where all women across every stage of life, fitness level and body shape are welcome and can feel safe, build confidence and become the strongest version of themselves physically and mentally.
Most of all they want to build a community; somewhere you can train, relax after and build relationships beyond the studio floor. Whatever your personal goal may be, they are there to support you. They believe life should be full of balance, laughter and celebrating the process, not solely achieving perfection.
Like so many other women they have both faced pelvic floor issues and realised how difficult it was to find the right space to rebuild strength, move freely again and get back to doing the things they loved.
They have created this space because it is something they wished they had had access to over the years, and want to provide it to women at every stage of their own journeys.
