A fun-filled summer term of junior activities at our leisure centres

17 March 2026

From Wednesday 15 April, our four leisure centres in Hampton, Shene, Teddington and Whitton will be offering a range of exciting activities for children to enjoy throughout the summer term.

Our summer sessions include Gymnastics, Karate, Judo and Badminton Club, giving your child plenty to look forward to.

Booking for current members opens on Monday 23 March, class moves begin on Monday 30 March, and enrolment for new members opens from Tuesday 7 April.

Gymnastics

Gymnastics helps young learners build balance, coordination, flexibility and movement skills that support confidence in other sports and everyday activities. Courses are led by qualified instructors and are structured for children from Reception to Year 6, with additional options for those aged 9 and over, ensuring every child can progress at their own pace.

Courses available at the centres below. To book or enquire, please contact your chosen centre by email, phone or in person.

Karate

Children aged 5 and above can enjoy Karate, where they will build focus, discipline and self belief in a supportive environment. Sessions introduce traditional techniques, including kicks, punches, blocks and stances, that help develop confidence and coordination.

Courses available at the centres below. To book or enquire, please contact your chosen centre by email, phone or in person.

Judo

For children who love dynamic movement, Judo builds teamwork, respect and physical strength through fun, instructor led sessions. Younger learners develop balance, coordination and core judo disciplines, while older children progress to more technical skills, including throws and grappling, all within a safe environment.

Courses are available at Shene Sports and Fitness Centre.

To book or enquire, please contact the centre by email, phone or in person.

Badminton club

These drop in sessions allow 7 to 11 year olds and 12 to 15 year olds to develop their game play and techniques.

Sessions are not coached, and are available at the centres below. To book or enquire, please contact your chosen centre by email, phone or in person.
