Cargo bikes take centre stage at Old Deer Park

Watch the highlights from the borough’s first-ever Cargo Bike Fair, held on Sunday 15 June at Old Deer Park in Richmond.

The Richmond Cargo Bike Fair brought together residents, local businesses, and cycling advocates to explore the benefits of cargo bikes as a sustainable and practical mode of transport. The day began with a community-led procession from York House in Twickenham, supported by the Richmond Cycling Campaign and joined by councillors and representatives from the Mayor’s charity, Small Steps.

Visitors had the opportunity to test ride a variety of cargo bikes, speak with local retailers and maintenance experts, and learn more about how cargo bikes can support everyday journeys. The event saw strong engagement, with 20 bikes sold on the day and 60 children participating in cycling skills sessions.
