Local charity offers extra support through the winter months
Community news on behalf of Kew Neighbourhood Association | 8 January 2026
As winter settles in, many local residents can find the shorter days and colder weather harder to manage, particularly those who live alone or have difficulty getting out and about.
Kew Neighbourhood Association (KNA) is a long-established local charity offering free, practical and emotional support to people in the Kew area. This includes companionship, help with shopping, and transport to appointments, all provided by local volunteers.
Winter can be a challenging time, and some people may find it harder to ask for help. Friendly contact and practical support can make a real difference to wellbeing and help people stay connected to their community.
The charity is keen to hear from anyone who may be interested in volunteering, whether on a regular basis or occasionally. Volunteers play a vital role in supporting neighbours and helping people remain independent.
If you would like to find out more about volunteering, or feel you may benefit from support, contact Kew Neighbourhood Association by phone on 020 8948 8054 or email at info@kna.org.uk.
