Calling all artists to Play and Imagine at Orleans House Gallery
Community news on behalf of Orleans House Gallery | 23 January 2025
Orleans House Gallery invites all local artists to submit ideas and thoughts for an exhibition that transforms the gallery into a space for exploring imagination in a playful way for people of all ages.
Applications for the gallery’s Play and Imagination programme are now open. Artists are encouraged to submit proposals for creative workshops, participatory events, exhibitions and art that explore how play and imagination impact our everyday lives.
The exhibition will run from April to August 2026. It aims to celebrate and champion play and imagination across the borough, working with partners in the Council and local communities.
Three artists or artist collectives will be selected to further develop and discuss their project ideas with Orleans House Gallery. The shortlisting process will be supported by a group of children and young people from one of Orleans House Gallery’s partner organisations. Each selected artist or artist collective will be provided £250 to attend an interview to share their ideas.
