Have your say on how we protect our parks and public spaces
5 February 2026
We are inviting residents to have their say on the proposed renewal of the current Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs), which aim to address anti-social activities and dog control in public spaces.
If you live in, work in, or visit the borough, share your views on the proposed PSPOs for Anti Social Behaviour and Dog Control in Richmond upon Thames for 2026-29.
Our parks and green spaces are among the borough’s most loved places. They are used every day for play, exercise, relaxation and enjoying nature. We’re committed to keeping them clean, safe and enjoyable for everyone.
The PSPOs set out simple rules that help protect wildlife, reduce anti social behaviour and keep our shared spaces welcoming. This includes keeping dogs on leads in sensitive areas, always picking up after them, and avoiding behaviour that could cause nuisance or disturbance to others.
The PSPOs were first introduced in 2017. They act as a useful deterrent and help authorised officers respond when issues arise.
If you need the consultation materials in hard copy or any other format, please contact us at parks@richmond.gov.uk or call 020 8891 1411.
The deadline to complete the survey is 26 March 2026.
