Call for traders: Be part of Richmond’s new Centre Stage festival

7 August 2025

A brand-new festival is coming to Richmond this September and local independent traders are invited to get involved.

Centre Stage, set for Saturday 13 September, will transform George Street and Whittaker Avenue into a vibrant celebration of creativity, culture, and community.

As part of the one-day programme, the town centre will come alive with live music, theatre, visual arts, food and more. Two specially curated markets will be central to the day. Applications are now open for local businesses to take part.

Market opportunities

Traders are invited to apply for a pitch in one of two market zones:

  • Curated design market – showcasing emerging designers and makers across fashion, art, homewares and lifestyle
  • Street food and local produce market – featuring a handpicked mix of food vendors, local producers and artisanal food and drink

Places are limited, so to ensure a high-quality experience for visitors and traders, applications will be assessed based on product range, pricing and suitability for the event audience. Organisers will also coordinate with existing Richmond market activity to avoid duplication.

Apply now

Pitch fees and sizes are outlined in the Trade with Us supporting information. If you would like to trade, contact events@hemingwaydesign.co.uk in the first instance with further details on your business. Please include pictures, social media handles or website details for review.

All applications will be reviewed, and successful applicants will be contacted directly with a booking form. The deadline to apply is 6pm Tuesday 19 August.

Be part of something new

Centre Stage festival is being delivered by Richmond Council and HemingwayDesign, in partnership with the Richmond Arts Trust and supported by local creative and cultural organisations.

This is a unique opportunity to showcase your products or produce to thousands of visitors in the heart of Richmond – and to be part of an exciting new addition to the borough’s cultural calendar.
