Upcoming Network Rail engineering work at Barnes Bridge

Network Rail are advising passengers that the line between Kew Bridge and Barnes will be closed between 23 and 31 August while engineers complete essential maintenance works on Barnes Bridge.

During this time, South Western Railway services will not run between Kew Bridge and Barnes.

Replacement bus services

• Saturday 23 to Friday 29 August - Buses replace trains between Barnes and Kew Bridge via Chiswick only. Trains will run to and from Kew Bridge to Feltham
• Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 August 2025 - Buses will replace trains between Barnes and Feltham via Hounslow

Footbridge access

For the safety of the public, the pedestrian footbridge beside the railway bridge will be closed at night whilst engineers are working, from 2 August to 6 September.

Network Rail will restrict access around 10pm until 6am. A signed diversion route will be in place over Chiswick bridge.
