10 April 2026
Young people across the borough are being encouraged to sign up to represent Team Richmond in the 2026 London Youth Games, Europe’s largest annual youth sporting event.
The London Youth Games brings together young people from every London borough to compete in over 30 sports.
Each year, around 10,000 young Londoners compete across a range of sports, earning points towards the prestigious Jubilee Trophy, which is awarded to the borough with the highest overall score across the season.
A strong record for Team Richmond
Team Richmond enjoyed an excellent 2025 season, finishing second overall in the Jubilee Trophy standings with a total of 981 points – an improvement on the previous year’s fourth-place finish.
The momentum has continued into the current season, with Team Richmond already achieving gold in the male overall borough standings and silver in the female overall borough standings for cross country.
Get involved in 2026
Young people who are passionate about sport and want to compete for their borough are now invited to register their interest for the 2026 London Youth Games season.
Sports range from football, tennis, badminton and hockey to swimming, athletics, road cycling and BMX.
