Art Historical London announce arts talk series

From mid-April, Richmond Library will host a number of exciting talks exploring various movements, mediums and influences in the art world.

Holbein's visits to England

This will take place over two lectures. The first will see participants learn about Hans Holbein’s visits seeking patronage in England between 1526 to 1528 and 1532 to 1540.

The second lecture will offer participants an opportunity to take a fresh look at some of Hans Holbein’s paintings in person.

The Birth of Expressionism: The Friendships that made Modern Art

Delivered by Cindy Polemis, this talk is closely connected with the exhibition at the Tate Modern called Expressionists Kandinsky, Munter and the Blue Rider. Participants will learn about the story of a ground breaking circle of friends and artistic colleagues in the early 20th century.
