Metropolitan Police to host Community Conference

On Monday 24 July, Richmond Borough Metropolitan Police will be holding their first Community Conference.

This is a chance for the Police to share their plans to achieve the Commissioner's promise; increased trust, reduced crime and to raise the professional standards.

Taking place at York House, from 6 to 9pm, the event is an opportunity to bring the community together to share their views, concerns, and ideas to the Police and collectively look at ways to address these.

The event will be attended by Richmond residents, organisations, as well as local police officers.Food and refreshments will be provided by a local caterer. The event is free and people are encouraged to register online to reserve a spot.

Event schedule:

  • 6 to 6.30pm - Guest arrival with food served
  • 6.30pm - Detective Chief Superintendent Clair Kelland opens the event
  • 6.40pm - New Met for London plan introduced
  • 7 to 8.30pm - Round table discussions and presentations on crime, trust and confidence
  • 8.30 to 9pm - Questions and answers with senior police officers
