If you are verified as registered on the current Electoral Register, you may change the method of voting you use.

You can vote in person, by post or by proxy.

You will need

You must be registered to vote before you can change your method of voting.

Before you start

We need to ensure that postal vote packs are sent and returned on time. If you will be on holiday or away before an election, you may not be able to complete the process in time. Please contact us to check.

Postal voting forms can be sent to your home address or a different one if you prefer.

What happens next

Your request will be processed once received.

If your details are confirmed and you are matched under Individual Election Registration (IER), we will write to you to confirm your method of voting has been changed.

If you need to vote by Emergency Proxy, please contact us.
