In 2013 the Mayor of London and TfL announced that £100m would be available to share between up to four outer London boroughs to help transform cycling in key town centres.
Following a review of all the submissions, TfL shortlisted us as one of the potential benefactors of the funding and we were invited to refine the initial proposals.
We worked with local stakeholders, including Richmond Cycling Club and South West Trains, to enhance the proposals and ensure that they were not only feasible but also in line with local priorities and the needs of cyclists in the area. Whilst our bid was not successful, we will still be working with TfL to take forward parts of our proposals.
