In accordance with the Clean Air Act 1993 the whole of the borough is designated as a smoke control area. You will be committing an offence if you emit smoke from a chimney of a building, from a furnace or from any fixed boiler, unless you are burning an authorised fuel and/or using an exempt appliance.
