Events and activities at Powerstation Youth Club. All activities are free unless otherwise stated.

Monday 6.30 to 8.30pm Multi sports Football, basketball and boxing.   
Thursday 4 to 6.30pm Girls Group A chance to talk, meet new friends, cook or learn new skills in photography, t-shirt printing and design and music. 11 to 16 years old
Friday 4 to 6pm Junior Club A chance for local juniors to use our great facilities. Years 4 to 8
Friday 6.30 to 8.30pm Senior Club A chance for local seniors to use our great facilities. Years 9 to 11

PowerJam (Youth Band Workshops)

Have you ever wanted to be in a band? Powerjam offers not-for-profit Rock/Pop/R&B band workshops for young people aged 10 to 16. Led by DBS checked music instructors and professional gigging musicians. The bands are taught to play and/or compose songs. This culminates in an end of term gig at local festivals, community events and for friends and family.

Many instruments are provided and all abilities are welcome to attend on Thursdays and Fridays at the Powerstation Youth Centre, Mortlake.

Music production and rehearsal

If you are a performer, songwriter, band or producer we can offer you state of the art facilities to work on your project. Powerstation has a digital recording studio with Logic Pro and Cubase software, fully equipped with outboard and a good collection of microphones.

Our rehearsal room is fully equipped with PA system, drums, amps and instruments. All you need to do is plug in.

Both these facilities are available FREE on open club evenings. Our recording studio can be booked after school between 3 and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Sports hall hire

We have a large purpose-built sports hall that can accommodate football, basketball and badminton, or if you need a space for judo or karate, boxing, dance groups, theatres, or a music performance.

These facilities are available for hire from £10 an hour. Please contact us for further details.

IT suite / training room hire

Our upstairs IT room is perfect for small training groups and lectures. It is available most weekdays for hire. Call for details.

Cinema room

With 5.1 surround sound system.

Networked computers and printers for surfing, chatting and Facebooking.

Keep fit

On our brand new JTX 6000 fitness machine.

Learn to cook

Each week we offer a range of healthy eating cookery lessons. Not only do you get to learn how to prepare and cook the food, you get to eat it too!


In addition to activities, the Powerstation also recognises the physical and emotional wellbeing of young people. We offer specialist services or can direct young people to the appropriate services. These include:

  • Connexions Personal Advisors - for job searches, education and training, benefits, counselling and mentoring.
  • Condom distribution scheme for young people with the new C-Card system.
  • South West London Chlamydia Screening programme for young people under 25 years.
  • The Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
