Group 93 was the first Fine Art course of mature students to graduate from WSCAD, the University of the Creative Arts. They each practice and exhibit as individuals, as well as regularly meeting, working and exhibiting together.

About the exhibition

Ten artists focus on ways in which they are affected by sound, from silent stillness and natural sound to rhythm and melody. Music and visual art are closely interconnected, even sharing the same language of expression: tone, mood, harmony and colour.

Artists often listen to the radio or play music as they work; using it as a companionable background, or sometimes to positively enjoy, influence mood, boost energy or inspire. This show aims to explore and celebrate the connections between what is heard and what is created.
