Health and Wellbeing Day to be held for those in need

Community news on behalf of NHS South West London and SPEAR | 3 November 2022

On Wednesday 9 November from 10am to 3pm this event at York House will help refugees, asylum seekers and those experiencing homelessness.

COVID-19 and flu jabs, hot food and drinks, haircuts and a range of health and wellbeing stalls will be available during the day.

Both first and second COVID-19 vaccines and flu vaccines will be available to those aged 18+, and COVID-19 boosters will also be available for those who are eligible to receive one. Those who attend do not need to be registered with a GP or prove their identity, address or immigration status to access the vaccines.

The aim of the event is to provide tailored, hands-on and holistic support in an effort to remove any existing barriers to accessing health and wellbeing services, improve health equality and increase engagement.

There will be interpreters present who speak Arabic, Farsi, Pashto, Romanian and Polish.

The South West London Integrated Care System (ICS) is working with local charity SPEAR to host this event.

For any questions, including how attendees can access help with travel costs, please email giuseppina@spearlondon.org or call 078 7689 9330.
