Join us for the Mayor's Art Competition at Asgill House

The competition will run from July to September with art sessions at Asgill House, Richmond. Art can then be taken home to finish and then entered in the competition by Wednesday 21 September 2022.

The winning artwork will be the recipient of The Asgill Prize, £500.00 to inspire original painting and drawing celebrating Richmond’s Riverside Heritage (Sponsored by The Asgill House Trust).

Entries cost £10 and include a special art session in the riverside gardens of Asgill House, Sir Robert Taylor’s Grade I listed architectural gem.

The competition ends on Wednesday 21 September, and the winner will be chosen by the Mayor of Richmond between 22 and 23 September 2022.

The winning artwork will be exhibited in the Mayor’s parlour for the duration of her term. The winning artist and a guest will also be invited to The Mayor’s Charity reception at Asgill House held at the end of her term.

Art sessions will run on Saturdays between 11am and 2pm on 30 July, 27 August, and 10 September.
