Develop your new year idea to improve your local area

24 January 2022

Richmond Council and Richmond CVS have launched a new step by step guide called the Project Toolkit which will help residents bring their community project ideas to life.

This guide has been developed to help residents and local groups set up new community projects and enable them to apply for local funding opportunities, including our Local Area Fund. This fund specifically supports community driven projects to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of local communities.

The Project Toolkit booklet guides residents through the different steps involved in creating a community project and aims to make it easier for residents and local groups to get their projects ready to apply for funding.

If you are interested in applying for funding for your project idea, please visit the Local Area Fund page. Each ward has £10,000 available for community projects. We have already awarded a number of groups with funding to support their projects. Check the previous Local Area Fund awards page to see how much funding is available in your ward.

Turner's House Trust was awarded £1,000 to create new interpretation panels for their Exhibition Room. Watch the video below to find out about their experience.

For further support and advice on how to develop your project idea and plan for future funding, contact Richmond CVS.
