Please advise how many adult homeless people are estimated to be in Richmond Borough? How many have been housed in the last 6 months?
Info provided - 24 March 2016
The current estimate of rough sleepers is about 14. The Council has an excellent support service for rough sleepers provided by SPEAR, a local charity. This involves more than getting people off the streets by assisting with health referrals, training, move on accommodation and getting people into paid work.
There is an annual quota of 14 homes of social housing rough sleepers and in the last 6 months, 7 rough sleepers were rehoused this way.
