We are currently undertaking a borough-wide programme of reviewing existing Conservation Area Appraisals to ensure they are reflective of their current character and appearance.

We are conducting a public consultation on updated Conservation Area Appraisals and Management Plans. The following conservation areas are subject to a public consultation from Monday 24 October to Friday 2 December 2022:

The draft web-based documents can be accessed by the links above. In addition, a reference copy of the consultation document is also available to view at the Civic Centre, East Sheen Library, Twickenham Library and Hampton Hill Libraries.

We have made an Article 4 Direction on specific parts of Mays Road Conservation Area (No. 42). The justification for introducing an Article 4 Direction for Mays Road is contained within the draft Conservation Area Appraisal and Management Plan. The owners/occupiers of properties affected by this Article 4 Direction have been notified. The Article 4 Direction documents can be viewed in the link below which includes an online survey that can be used to provide representations to the Direction.

Have your say

We are seeking comments on these draft documents as part of a public consultation. The consultation is running from 24 October to 2 December 2022. Once you have reviewed the consultation document, please submit your views by 2 December.

Community engagement is an integral part of the process of developing Conservation Area Appraisals and Management Plans. We are holding two online sessions as follows, further details of which can be found on the links below:

We will also be running a drop-in event at Hampton Hill Theatre on 23 November 2022 for the Mays Road Conservation Area Appraisal. The event will provide you with an opportunity to learn more about the Appraisals, ask questions and/or provide feedback. Register for the drop-in event.
