Release Date: 13 January 2020
Join the Richmond Irish Network on Friday 13 March for a drink’s reception, three course dinner, live Irish music and a charity auction in aid of the Mayor of Richmond’s charities.
Last year’s event raised over £7,000 for The Vineyard Community Project. This year, the Richmond Irish Network hopes to exceed this figure with all donations benefitting the Mayoral Appeal. This year the mayor has chosen to support two local charities - Home Start and the Otakar Kraus Music Trust (OKMT)."
Home Start supports local families who are struggling with children under the age of five years old; offering emotional and practical support. The Otakar Kraus Music Trust provides music therapy to local children with additional needs as well as to adults living with dementia.
The event will be held at Royal Mid Surrey Golf Club in Richmond. Doors open at 7.30pm and close at 1am. The dress code is smart.
Cllr Nancy Baldwin, Mayor of Richmond, who will be attending the evening, said:
“Everyone is Irish on St Patrick's Day so I hope you will join us at this year’s St. Patrick’s Charity Dinner - a wonderful celebration of Irish music and culture.
“This year the Richmond Irish Network are generously supporting my two Mayoral charities, Home-Start and the Otakar Kraus Music Trust. Please come and bring your friends to celebrate all things Irish whilst helping two great local charities!"
Cllr Seamus Joyce, a Founding Member of the Richmond Irish Network, added:
“Live music will be by the unwaveringly Irish band Scratch Demons, who regularly played at famous Irish pub Molly Malones. For a brilliantly Irish night, book tickets now to avoid missing out!”
