Flags will be waved at the Pink Night at the Proms musical extravaganza

Release Date: 01 February 2019

The annual Pink Night at the Proms returns to Teddington on Saturday, 16 February 2018 at 7.30pm and it promises to be better than ever.

The event, at Normansfield Theatre in Teddington, is hosted by the LGBT Equality and Ally groups for Richmond and Wandsworth councils, with music from the London Gay Symphonic Winds and celebrates LGBTQ history month.

The Proms will again be hosted by comedian Cally Beaton, winner of New Comedian of the Year 2018 Piccadilly Comedy Club. She will be entertaining the audience with wit and humour, whilst everyone enjoys the music.

Attendees will have a fantastic time being entertained with all the proceeds going to Opening Doors – a charity that provides information and support services specifically for older Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT+) people in the UK.

Leader of Richmond Council, Cllr Gareth Roberts, will be in attendance and said:

“This is always a fabulous night out for the whole community to enjoy and raises money for a very good cause. It will be very popular so book early to avoid missing out and don’t forget to bring your flags!”

This is a free event but booking is essential. You can book by phone on 0333 1212 300 or by emailing lesley.alabaf@downs-syndrome.org.uk.
