West London awaits intrepid trailblazers during half term

Release Date: 17 October 2017

Richmond Council is partnering with ten local heritage organisations to bring a voyage of discovery across West London for aspiring explorers during the autumn half term.

From historic country houses to London’s only narrow gauge railway, families will be able to discover a hidden world of art and culture within the West London Wonders, a collection of 11 museums, galleries and historic houses.

Families who take part in the free activity trail will be able to earn a sticker and work their way towards achieving a West London Wonders Explore Certificate.

Cllr David Linnette, Cabinet member for Culture, Sport and the Voluntary Sector said:

“Finding ways to keep children occupied and entertained during school holidays can often be tricky. This trail is a great opportunity for children and their families to do something together, whilst visiting some of West London’s best attractions and being able to have a sense of achievement at having visited all the attractions.

“We are very lucky to have a wide variety of museums and galleries in the area, so whether your child is a budding engineer, historian, scientist, or just has a sense of adventure this trail is bound to have something they will enjoy!”
