Draw and explore with Orleans House Gallery

A series of free art walks will set off from Orleans House Gallery over the coming months to seek new adventures to different local areas each week and where families will be able to create artworks inspired by nature and local heritage along the way.

The walks will take place in two stages. Children of ages 6 to 11 years will be able to come along from 10am to 1pm on the 21 October, 18 November and 16 November and children of ages 2 to 6 years will be able to take part from 10am to 1pm on the 20 January, 17 February and 17 March.

Each week will have a specific theme based around the location being visited:

  • Week 1: Orleans House Woods and nature
  • Week 2: The River and York House Gardens
  • Week 3: Marble Hill and Turner’s House

Cllr David Linnette, Cabinet member for Culture, Sport and Voluntary Sector, said:

“It’s a great opportunity for children of all ages to get outdoors and explore their artistic side whilst learning about the Borough’s rich heritage.

“These free events promise to be extremely popular so if you don’t want to miss out you should book now.”
