Meet the artists behind the Mayor’s 2017 Christmas card

Release Date: 28 November 2017

This year’s Mayoral Christmas card will feature designs by six children from across the borough.

Winning designs by Ayla Qader-Parsons from Kew Riverside School, Jaeger Macias from Lowther Primary School and Hannah Carr-Hill from Stanley Primary School will feature on the front of the cards.

Meanwhile, designs by Sophia Dorey from Lady Eleanor Holles School, Lucas McVey from Stanley Primary School and Joshua Janssen from Stanley Primary School will feature on the back of the cards.

The designs were chosen from over 450 pictures sent in by school children from around the borough.

The six children and their families will be hosted for tea by the Mayor of Richmond, Cllr Lisa Blakemore at York House on Monday 11th December.

Cllr Blakemore said:

“I was delighted to have received so many fabulous entries from some very talented young artists around the borough.

“Congratulations to all the winners. I look forward to welcoming them and their families to tea at York House and I hope their designs bring a bit of Christmas joy to the people who receive my Christmas card this year.”
