Local stars win the Mayor's May Day Quiz

Release Date: 08 May 2017

Thirteen teams joined the Mayor of Richmond for the May Day Themed Quiz Night, last Friday, raising £1,900 for a local charity.

A team made up of local amateur performing arts stars, Q2 Players, took away first place in the quiz for a very impressive second year running.

As well as the quiz, the spring themed night included a delicious buffet supper and fantastic raffle prizes donated by local businesses, including the top prize of a three course meal at the Petersham Hotel in Richmond.

All proceeds from the night will go to the Mayor’s Charity, Integrated Neurological Services, who provide long-term support for people with neurological conditions and for their families and carers.

Richmond’s Mayor, Cllr David Linnette, said:

“As always the May Day themed Quiz Night was a roaring success and I would like to offer my congratulations again to the Q2 Players for their second win in a row! It was great to see so many teams come out for a bit of friendly competition and to raise funds for such a worthy local charity.”
