Over 400 dancers took to the stage in Richmond this weekend for the annual and explosive RichDance event - packed with prodigious talent and choreography.
Over 34 dance groups took part in this year’s programme at Hampton School, entertaining around 400 people. Now in its 15th year, the event celebrated dance in all its forms from Tango, Break Dancing and Contemporary Dance. Performers included: Rambert School, Youth Dance Ventures, BD1 Youth Dance Company, The MV Academy, Our Barn and iDance, as well as pupils from Orleans Park, Teddington School and Meadlands and Chase Bridge Primary schools.
RichDance is part of the borough’s Music and Drama Festival which is being showcased throughout March and across the borough. The festival is an annual celebration of the vibrant performing arts culture which thrives throughout the social fabric of the borough.
Richmond Council’s Cabinet Member for Arts and Culture, Cllr Meena Bond, said:

Ranging from dance companies and choreographers, professional and emerging dance artists, local schools and youth and community groups from across London. What a fantastic display of the superb dancing talent currently in the Capital.”
