Art Play exhibition at Stables Gallery

Release Date: 26 June 2018

An exhibition of playful work by artist and designer Jason Taylor, co-created by and for children, young people and families, launches at Stables Gallery next week.

In the ‘Art Play: Fun Limited’ exhibition, which runs from 5 July to 2 September, Jason transforms everyday objects into opportunities for play. His inventive use of materials asks visitors to look at ordinary objects in a new way. Join us this summer and explore this interactive exhibition. Look out for playful sculpture around the site as well!

Cllr John Coombs, Cabinet Member for Arts, Culture and Sport said:

“Art Play is a wonderful project which gives new and experienced artists the chance to display their talent to art lovers in the borough. It’s a long running exhibition so plenty of time for you to come down to Stables Gallery and take a look!”

Jason said:

“It’s been great to spend time at Orleans House Gallery developing my ideas for the show. I have been busy creating interventions in the stables gallery and in the grounds.

“I have also had opportunities to test ideas out on visiting families and get positive reactions to my work. I hope everyone and all ages are inspired by this exhibition!”
