Release Date: 25 July 2017
Over £1,100 was raised yesterday at a charity tea party with the Mayor of Richmond upon Thames and the naked ladies of York House.
Over 40 guests attended the new Mayor’s first charity event on Monday (24 July), including fellow Mayors from across London. All enjoyed a special afternoon tea on the Terrace at York House.
Following this, attendees took part in a tour of the building, gardens and famous Naked Lady fountains with guides from the York House Society.
All the money raised will now go to the Mayor’s Charities – Off the Record, Me Too and Co and Cavernoma Alliance UK.
Cllr Lisa Blakemore, said:
“What a lovely afternoon! Over 40 guests attended – including a number of Mayors from across the Capital. Many of which had never been into York House before. They enjoyed tea and bubbles, followed by a first class tour around the historic building, gardens and fountains.
“But most importantly we were able to raise over £1,100 for my three charities. I look forward to organising many more events over the next few months to raise even more.”
