Release Date: 19 July 2017
With the recent warm weather, Pools on the Park has opened the huge outdoor complex consisting of a lido, paddling pool and grassy area perfect for adults and their children. All of this just in time for the summer holidays!
The grounds are currently open 10am to 6pm dependant on the weather. However, as the pool does reach capacity quickly, the Council has launched an advance online booking system to enable people to secure their spot and avoid disappointment.
Tickets will still be available at the Centre, however if the pool reaches capacity then new admissions will not be allowed.
Cllr David Linnette, Cabinet Member for Culture, Sport and the Voluntary Sector, said:
“Whilst it might be raining today, I think it is fair to say that the great British summertime is here and there will be more sun around the corner! We know that many families are keen to find activities for the whole family, so take advantage of this great facility, right on your doorstep. But don’t forget to book your place in advance, as Pools on the Park sells out quickly on hot days.”
Recently spruced up by Richmond Council, the local site received recognition and praise from the wider community. Tatler magazine voted the outdoor pool as one of the top six best outdoor swimming pools in London while The Handbook similarly ranked it within the top eight.
