Let your child make a splash over the Half Term Holiday

Intensive swimming classes are taking place throughout the half term holiday for children and young people of all ages at Richmond Council’s Feel Good Swim School.

The classes cater for children of all abilities and take place from Monday 13 February to Friday 17 February at the Council’s Pools on the Park centre at Old Deer Park in Richmond.

Classes are available for children and young people aged five years and over, and are categorised into three groups:

  • Penguins and Platypus (Main Pool) Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8.30 to 9am. For children able to swim ten metres front crawl and ten metres back crawl and for children able to swim 15 metres front crawl and back crawl.
  • Goldfish and Otters (Main Pool) Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8.30 to 9am. For children able to swim between a length and 100 metres of front crawl and back crawl with good technique.
  • Diving (Main Pool) Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9.30 to 10am. For children who are able to comfortably swim 100 metres and are confident in deep water.

Richmond Council’s Cabinet Member for Sport, Cllr Meena Bond, said:

“Why not get the children off to an energetic start every morning of the half-term holiday at Pools on the Park and book their place at our Feel Good Swim School. We’ve got a wide range of classes that cater for children and young people of all abilities so it is ideal for them to get down to Pools on the Park and make a splash over the half term.”

All classes must be booked and paid for in advance. An application form/medical form must be completed for each child. Classes are subject to availability and may be cancelled due to insufficient numbers enrolled. No refunds are given. Prices per session: £8 Richmond Card. £8.80 Non Richmond Card.
