The Richmond upon Thames School (RTS) will be for 11 to 16 year-olds. It will be co-educational, non-selective and non-faith based and admit five forms of entry (150 children) per year.

The school will be governed by a Trust made up of members from Richmond upon Thames College, Harlequins, Haymarket Media Group, Waldegrave School, Achieving for Children and Richmond Council.

The trustees are looking for Curriculum Leaders in:

  • Mathematics
  • English
  • Science
  • Humanities
  • Art/Technology and Computing
  • PE

The new teachers will work with Kelly Dooley, the school’s Headteacher and two newly appointed Assistant Heads to welcome the first cohort in 2017. Together, they will create a highly effective school, designed from the start to prepare its young people for the realities of the 21st century.

Candidates for the post must provide leadership that inspires and motivates pupils, other teaching colleagues and all other members of the community.

Kelly Dooley, Headteacher for The Richmond upon Thames School, said:

“This year we will open a new, vibrant, inclusive school that provides an outstanding experience for every member of its community.

“Our new school will be an exciting and dynamic centre of learning that is able to draw upon the opportunities provided through the unique partnership that we have formed to develop it.

“We are looking for the best teachers. We want those who can bring the ambitions of the school to life. This is a once-in-a-professional-lifetime opportunity and I look forward to welcoming potential new colleagues to join us on this journey.”
