Release Date: 10 August 2017
With two events scheduled in August at East Sheen Library and Twickenham Library, residents will have the opportunity to hear more about West London Waste’s ‘Reduce, Re-use, Recycle’ campaign.
West London Waste's library tour will reach Richmond in late August, with events at East Sheen Library and Twickenham Library on 21 August and 15 August respectively.
Residents will have the opportunity to find out more about how to reduce their waste and will include advice on food, electricals, textiles, nappies and furniture.
The events will not only provide attendees with advice on how to reduce, re-use and recycle but will also provide an opportunity to save more than £60 a month with information and materials that residents can take home to keep up with the best practice.
Cllr Pamela Fleming, Cabinet Member for Environment and Planning said:
“We fully support West London’s Waste initiative to keep residents up to date about how they can minimise waste, with regards to food and other materials.
“By sharing its best practice, West London Waste allows us to better protect our environment but also reduce our spending by as much as £60 a month.
Residents should take full advantage of this opportunity to learn more about WLW’s messages and play an active role in our efforts to reduce waste across the borough.”
