Have a chat and make new friends this Silver Sunday

Release Date: 3 October 2019

Older residents are invited for a friendly chat and historical talk, as part of this year’s Silver Sunday.

On Sunday 6 October, join others at Richmond Library at 11am for a friendly chat over free refreshments. At 11.30am you can join a special illustrated talk about the River Thames’ literary links and historical significance. The talk will be hosted by well-known speaker Nick Dobson.

The address is Richmond Annexe, Quadrant Road, Richmond, TW9 1DH.

It is a free event and there is no need to register.

Cllr John Coombs, Lead Member for Libraries and Culture, said:

'Silver Sunday is a day for the nation’s senior residents to be valued and celebrated. It also raises awareness of loneliness and social isolation, connecting those affected with services and people around them.

'Richmond’s event is a chance to meet new people and learn something new. We hope to see lots of people there this Sunday.'
