The Department of Health has launched the latest national consultation on the draft regulations and guidance needed to introduce the cap on care costs. It also covers proposals for a new appeals system.

The consultation will close on Monday 30 March at 11.45 pm.
We have asked for your feedback on topics related to the Care Act:
- Changes to charging arrangements consultation - closed 30 January 2015
- Prevention Strategy survey - closed 23 January 2015. The results of this survey are now available in the 'Developing the Prevention Strategy: Phase One Engagement' report(pdf, 978KB).
- Care Act draft regulations and guidance survey - closed 5 August 2014. Richmond's response to the consultation is available to read or download(pdf, 381KB).
Healthwatch event - 21 January 2015
Healthwatch Richmond hosted a public event on behalf of the Council, as part of our local engagement programme. The event offered an opportunity for local people to learn more about the Care Act and to discuss prevention, information and advice and the changes to charging arrangements for 2015.

Healthwatch Richmond hosted a public event on behalf of the Council, as part of our Department of Health Consultation programme. The event offered an opportunity for local people to learn more about the Care Act and have discuss the topic in groups.
