Last year, we began a review of the Hampton Wick Controlled Parking Zone (zone X), which included consultation with all properties within its boundary.

2024 consultation

The consultation sought feedback from all properties in zone X on how this scheme has been working. The results of the consultation showed that there were no groups of contiguous roads with a clear majority in favour of a change in the scheme’s operational hours/days. We have therefore decided to retain the existing operational hours/days at 8.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Saturday.

What happens next

Since the consultation, we have reviewed the existing layout of the CPZ to ensure it conforms to existing design standards and road safety principles.

As a result, we will be proposing some minor operational amendments to the CPZ which will involve some parking bay changes and new lengths of double yellow lines, the latter primarily at junctions with some at other locations in the zone. These changes will improve road safety conditions.

Every effort has been made to maximise the available parking space across the zone.

Consultation on these changes will begin on Thursday 8 January 2026. More details of the consultation, including the detailed design of the proposals and information on how to make a representation will be available here soon.
