Youth Offending Team

The Youth Offending Team (YOT) was formed in 1999 in response to the Crime and Disorder Act 1998. We aim to offer support and help to young people and their parents or carers, enabling the young people to stop offending and move towards more positive futures. We also work with victims of youth crime, who are central to the new youth justice system, offering them support and giving them a voice in youth justice processes.

The YOT is a key partner in tackling crime and disorder in our borough, working closely with the police, the Housing Department and the local Community Safety Team in order to meet the targets outlined in the Richmond Crime and Disorder Strategy.
