Volunteering

Want to find out more about volunteering?

Richmond Council has commissioned a new volunteer service which will be run by Groundwork London. The service is due to commence on the 1 June 2012.

Groundwork London has over 20 years of experience in empowering Londoners to make difference to their local communities. This service will involve a Mobile Volunteer Centre that will bring volunteering opportunities into the heart of Richmond’s communities. The volunteer outreach team will set up a branded “mobile centre” with expert staff, professional displays, online computer facilities that can be erected quickly in community buildings, organisations and open events. They will be supporting both volunteers and organisations through identifying and matching appropriate volunteer opportunities. They will also have an online service that volunteers can access 24 hours a day and a telephone helpline open during office hours.

To register your interest or make an enquiry, please contact SWL@groundwork.org.uk.

Please note that the service is not due to start until 1 June 2012.
