Adopted UDP First Review 2005 online version

The Unitary Development Plan First Review was adopted on 1 March 2005 and sets out the policies used by the Council to determine planning applications. The online version of the UDP comprises both the Written Statement and the Proposals Map.

Written Statement

The first 11 chapters of the Written Statement contain strategic policies, and local planning policies on a subject basis. Chapter 12 sets out the Local Area Proposals including the planning framework for proposal sites on an area by area basis. The Glossary and Appendices are also included. The list of addresses designated as key and secondary shopping frontages can be found in Appendix B. The UDP's illustrative maps can be found throughout the Written Statement.

Please note

Revisions to the parking standards(pdf, 44KB) were agreed as Interim Policy in July 2005. They are not included in the online version.

Proposals Map

An interactive version of the proposals map is also available. You can use it to find an area or postcode in the borough and the UDP designations (planning policies and proposals) relevant to that area.
