March 2021 to October 2023

Hazard
It has been identified that the harness padding on the affected Thule RideAlong bike seats can contain flame-retardant DecaBDE in excess of specified limits, posing a chemical hazard. DecaBDE can be toxic if it is ingested or comes into contact with skin or eyes. Further information on the health effects presented by exposure to DecaBDE is available on the GOV.UK website.

The affected products do not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005 or the Persistent Organic Pollutants Regulations 2007/3106.

Corrective action
The affected products have been withdrawn from the market and recalled. For further information, access the Thule recall notice.
