Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of fire as the pins do not meet the dimensional requirements of the relevant standard, BS1363. This could cause resistive heating within the socket, causing it to overheat and ignite. The product requires improvements to marking, labelling and documentation.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.

Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.

The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (Amazon).
