School Travel Party Scheme

For all schools in the borough

Schools within a London borough can benefit from free off-peak school group travel from Monday to Friday. This is a great way to save money when making school trips in London.

UpGrade

For all year 6 and 7 schools in the borough

UpGrade provides a suite of resources with a wealth of useful tips, advice and information for parents/carers, teachers and pupils to ensure a safe, happy and sustainable transition from primary to secondary school.

My favourite page in UpGrade is ''On your bike''. I like this page a lot because I love riding my bike to school however I also have to ride it safely and this page told me how to do that.

11 – 15 Oyster photocard

For all schools

Children over 10 years and 11 months are eligible for an Oyster ZIP card. It entitles you to free travel on the bus, Tube, tram, DLR, London Overground and some National Rail services.

Any child under 10 who is travelling without an adult or looks older then 10 years is also advised to apply for an Oyster photo card. Many schools in the borough have Zip card application forms available from the school office or to collect from their reception information area.

A £10 administration fee is payable at time of application for all Oyster Zip cards.

Go to the TfL website for information on how to apply.
