Street parties
We welcome applications from local people to hold a street party - it helps bring communities together.
Last year we were delighted to approve 85 street parties for the Royal Wedding. On 3rd June this year, the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee will be celebrated and we would be equally delighted to see a similar or even greater number of applications that we can approve for this year.
To help get you started, we’ve developed a step by step guide with lots of useful advice and information. The guide includes one simple application form which you will need to fill in and return to the council to let us know about your plans.
For all street parties in respect of the Queens Jubilee, we are pleased to advise that there will be no charge for the road closure order and signage. For all other street parties, we will advise on whether there will be a charge upon application.
The deadline for applications to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee is Friday 25 May 2012. For all other street parties, the deadline for applications is six weeks before the street party is to be held.
